A New Beginning

After a couple of weeks away at the beach, I am loving being back at home and getting organised for the year ahead. I had my first session at a new gym today which is only a couple of minutes from home. Nourishing my body with healthy foods (balance of course!), and getting into a good fitness routine are big goals of mine this year. The gym I’ve joined has a few classes but is mainly a weights gym, Im ready to get strong and am excited for it!

What Im Buying

We are planning a North America trip for Christmas to visit my partners grandparents (my first ever white Christmas!!) so I want to invest in a few winter staples this year, here are some things on my wish list. This Toteme Scarf Jacket has been on my wish list for a couple of years, its made from wool so perfect for snowy NYC weather! I have these jeans in the faded black wash, the fit is a dream and I want to add a blue wash to my wardrobe - as someone who has a sway back, these jeans sit flush against my back … run don’t walk! I spotted these cute samba’s the other day, am loving brown at the moment especially paired with blue denim.

What Im Reading

I bought a few books for summer that I haven’t got to yet, and am so excited to read. I want to find my stride reading again this year, and spend less time on my phone before bed. Currently on my nightstand …

  1. Everything I know about love by Dolly Alderton (I’m a bit late to the party on this, but am so far loving!)

  2. Manifest by Roxie Nafousi

  3. All the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr

What Im Listening To

I love a good podcast, you will find me listening commuting to and from work, at my desk, when out walking, and in the car. I find them such a great opportunity for learning and perspective, and love having someone chit chatting away while I go about my daily life. Below are some favourite shows, and ones I want to listen to more in 2025.

  1. The Curve, because we can all be better financial educated.

  2. The Psychology of your 20’s - I discovered this during lockdown but it fell off my radar. I have recently rediscovered it and have learnt a lot, so good for perspective and understanding the big life changes we go through in our 20s. I recently listening to these episodes on high functioning codependency and solo travelling which I found so interesting.

  3. For learning and perspective I love Diary of a CEO.

  4. And for something more health and wellbeing focused I love Feel Better, Live More by GP Dr Rangan Chatterjee
